What are Dermoid ovarian cysts?

A dermoid ovarian cyst grows from a germ cell that is retained within the egg sac (ovary). It's a bizarre totipotential, that cell can give rise to all types of cells necessary to form mature tissues and often recognisable structures such as hair, bone and oily materials, neural tissue and teeth.
